Enbridge is actively seeking a Engineer for Integrity Execution. This dynamic person will be responsible for understanding complex technical issues, making recommendations to Senior Engineer(s) and/or Supervisor on significant design or standard practice deviations based on depth and breadth of knowledge, requires developing and applying broad business and technical knowledge in resolving problems, developing strong project management skillsets, and seeks out optimal and prioritized solutions or opportunities. Members of this team actively maintain the stewardship and awareness of interrelationships with other stakeholders through open communication.

What You Will Do:

  • The Integrity Projects & Optimizations (P&O) team develops projects and/or proposes modifications to the operation of existing infrastructure to assure long term asset integrity and operating reliability of the pipeline systems. Liaison is required between Integrity (I&RM), Project Development/Execution, Gas Control and Operations, Asset Management and Finance, as well as Commercial and Marketing groups in the identification, justification, and active sponsorship of AI-driven projects.

  • In the INTEGRITY PROJECTS Engineer role, under the supervision of a Senior Engineer and/or Supervisor, you are generally responsible for the following I&RM project sponsorship activities:

    • Develop/support initial project scopes for I&RM-driven projects and obtain funding approvals, including preparing and presenting business case(s). This requires interfacing with Integrity Planning groups to prepare the technical supporting documentation, and cross functional engagement with other departments in GTM to facilitate asset-based recommendations.

  • In the INTEGRITY PROJECTS Engineer role, under the supervision of a Senior Engineer and/or Supervisor, you are generally responsible for the following I&RM project management activities:

    • Establish a safe, healthy work environment for employees and contractors by driving accountability for safety performance and by regularly reviewing and communicating policies, practices, expectations and positive reporting

    • Actively participate in development and management of scope of work, schedule, costs and risks of assigned projects to ensure the project plan can be successfully executed

  • As an Integrity Execution team member, you are expected to:

    • Under the guidance of Senior Engineer or Supervisor work on assignments with complex technical issues which may include significant design or standard practice deviations.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.

  • A minimum of 2-4 years of related experience (project management, integrity, and/or other pipeline industry related experience is an asset); comparable technical or operational experience will be considered

  • Strong facilitation, collaboration, and negotiation skills to influence and drive-forward results and decisions without formal authority.

  • Fluent with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Effective and professional communication skills, both verbal and written, with peers, management, internal/external stakeholders, vendors and service providers.

  • Self-motivated, independent, innovative, responsible and a team player with a strong work ethic and initiative.

  • Able to travel throughout North America (US and Canada) for business purposes.

  • Leverage innovation in project planning, development, coordination and other areas of accountability.

Preferred:

  • Prior work experience in integrity or pipeline operational knowledge and experience.

  • Project Management skills to develop schedules, track actions, and drive projects to completion

  • Knowledge of tools to analyze risk and in applying risk-informed decision making.

  • Strong data analysis, metrics, and data mining skills (e.g., Power Query, pivot tables, Power BI, dashboards)

Working Conditions:
  • Typical office environment

  • Travel as required <20% (Other US or Canada offices and/or site locations)

  • Ability to travel to Canada is required

  • Required to prioritize and manage multiple assignments; meet established deadlines while managing stakeholder expectations.

  • Company paid international relocation is not offered for this role.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
