Job Summary

The Metrology Administrator provides essential support to ensure efficient and effective operation of the Metrology department. This position interfaces with customers, vendors, and other departments. Coordinates with vendors for third party calibration projects, processes customer and metrology equipment, and creates and maintains an organizational system for easy retrieval of ongoing metrology information.



On-Site Expectations

    100% on-site position.
  • 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.


Responsibilities

  • Process incoming and outgoing customer and Alcami equipment using current databases.
  • Work with approved vendors to obtain 3rd party calibration quotes.
  • Process metrology and customer equipment to vendors for repair/calibration.
  • Process third party calibration certificates through metrology databases.
  • Effectively communicate important issues or potential problems with management, customers, and staff.
  • Handle metrology customer calls and correspondences.
  • Understand and update interval and tolerance relating to calibration and customer preferences.
  • Equipment tracking for verifications and calibrations for metrology.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers to obtain important information for projects.
  • Metrology data entry and database maintenance.
  • Handle metrology customer calls and correspondences.
  • Ship or email completed calibration certificates to customers.
  • Maintain organization, improve efficiency and retrieval of metrology information.
  • Schedule and prepare documents for weekly meetings.
  • General administrative duties which include data entry, copy, fax, scan, and file documents.
  • Demonstrate ability to problem solve and prioritize.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Abide by ISO 17025 principles.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 2+ years' office experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with strong sense of responsibility.
  • Very strong written and communication skills.
