This position will report to our EnerSys Energy Systems business, which servesthe telecom, cable broadband, industrial, renewable, and data center markets. Our portfolio combines our stored energy expertise with power systems, enclosures, and renewable energy products to deliver world-class solutions for diverse applications such as 5G, broadband, Internet of Things (IoT), data center, and solar power. Job Purpose

The Inventory Clerk position involves material handling, production posting, cycle counting, and inventory reconciliation. They will be involved in understanding shipping and receiving as well as all aspects related to inventory movement and consumption and must have a great deal of problem-solving and analytics to get to the root cause of any inventory discrepancies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of tasks is illustrative only and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by this position. Persons in this position will perform all other tasks as assigned and work overtime as required:

  1. Locate products in appropriate shelves, overstock, or storage.
  2. Ability to participate in daily cycle counts, annual physical inventory, and resolve variances.
  3. Have analytical mindset to work through data and determine gaps and opportunities.
  4. Comfort with communication across all levels. Inventory control teams must have ability to communicate with each other, supervisors, leads, managers and all other team members.
  5. Use systems to investigate inventory movement, potential reporting issues, identify inventory and its location, on-hand quantities and material coming in.
  6. Use system tools to ensure reporting of issues and tracking progress to improve (HeyDo).
  7. Ability to determine root cause of problems that arise.
  8. Investigate cycle count variances to try and resolve root of the issue and put corrective action in place with all team members.
  9. Ability to operate forklift, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move materials.
  10. Support continuous improvement efforts with team members to make processes more efficient and accurate.
  11. Create work instructions for new processes that are put in place.
  12. Follow standards of 5S and organization.
  13. Understand bill of materials and how they interact with inventory demands.
  14. Willingness to train and share knowledge.
  15. Willing to cross-train and understand the flow of materials from start to finish.
  16. Complete production and scrap postings every day.
  17. Participate in A3, RIE, and EOS initiatives to further knowledge and understanding.
  18. Assist in maintaining the security and safety of the company's facilities.
  19. Flexibility in hours/overtime as necessary.
  20. Must be able to frequently bend, twist, reach, stoop, kneel or crouch.
  21. Ability to lift and move boxes/carts over 30 lbs.
  22. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  1. High School diploma/GED
  2. Minimum of one year of related materials or inventory experience
  3. Good numerical analysis and accurate counting capabilities a must
  4. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and enterprise resource planning systems required.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Basic understanding of lean manufacturing, ISO quality procedures, and bill of materials. Working knowledge of cycle counting, FIFO, Kan Ban, supplier quality, and inventory management preferred.
