We're looking for a Director of Product & Business Analytics to join Procore's Product & Technology Team. Procore software solutions aim to improve the lives of everyone in construction, and the people within Product & Technology are the driving force behind our innovative, top-rated global platform. Our customer-centric group encompasses engineering, product, product design and data, security, and business systems.

The Director of Product & Business Analytics will lead our product analytics function and drive user adoption and product line growth. This role is pivotal in understanding user behavior, identifying opportunities for improvement, and empowering product teams with data-driven insights to optimize the user experience and maximize product impact. You will lead a team of analysts, collaborate closely with product, engineering, sales/marketing, finance, and user research, and play a key role in shaping the future of our enterprise B2B SaaS platform.

This position will report to the Head of Data Product Management and work alongside other executives, product, engineering, and design leaders.This position is located in Austin, Texas, with the opportunity to meet our customers primarily across the US and Canada. We're looking for someone to join our team immediately.

What you'll do:

  • Strategic Leadership & Vision: Develop and champion the overall product analytics vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligning with company objectives and product strategy, focusing on driving customer health/adoption and engagement.

  • Team Management: Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global product analytics team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Data Infrastructure & Measurement: Establish and maintain a robust product analytics infrastructure, including streaming product events, data processing, and visualization tools. Define and standardize key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics across P&T organization that accurately reflect user behavior, product performance, and business impact, explicitly focusing on adoption, engagement, retention, and churn.

  • Account Health Analysis: Prioritize initiatives to deeply analyze user behavior across the entire product lifecycle, identifying patterns, trends, and pain points. Conduct cohort analysis by stakeholder types, segmentation by geo, and other advanced analytical techniques to understand user needs and motivations. Develop user personas and journey maps based on data insights.

  • Strategic Product Planning: Partner closely with product managers and executive leadership to understand their needs and provide actionable data-driven insights to inform product strategy, roadmap planning, feature prioritization, and A/B testing. Proactively identify opportunities to improve user experience, drive adoption, and increase monetization for emerging product lines.

  • Executive Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to collaborate with product and engineering leadership. Communicate complex data insights effectively to both technical and non-technical executive audiences in Finance, Revenue, and Customer Success through reports, dashboards, presentations, and data storytelling.

  • Stakeholder Management: Lead product analytics initiatives, collaborating closely with cross-functional P&T stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable strategies and influence product roadmap decisions.

  • Product Growth & Optimization: Focus on driving product growth through data-driven experimentation and optimization. Identify opportunities to improve user onboarding, feature discovery, and product adoption. Develop and implement strategies to increase customer adoption and reduce account churn.

  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve product analytics processes, tools, methodologies, and data quality. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in product analytics, user behavior analysis, and data science.

What we're looking for:

  • 8+ years of experience in product analytics, with a strong focus on B2B SaaS products and user behavior analysis.

  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing a team of analysts.

  • Deep understanding of statistical concepts, data analysis techniques, A/B testing methodologies, and user behavior analytics.

  • Proficiency in SQL and data visualization and product analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Mode Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude).

  • Experience with data warehousing and big data technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks).

  • Excellent executive communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data insights to all levels of the organization, including product executives (i.e., Dir, VP, C-suite).

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and product recommendations.

  • Experience with product analytics platforms (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel) is essential.

  • Passion for data and its power to drive product innovation, user adoption, and growth.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with machine learning and predictive modeling.

  • Experience in Construction, Commercial Real Estate, or PropTech.

  • Experience with data science tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R).

  • Experience with user research methodologies.

Base Pay Range $189,920 - $261,140. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate's job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
