The Grant Administration and Training Project Manager is responsible for managing a broad range of awards and overseeing the complete grant lifecycle. This includes identifying potential funding sources, drafting grant proposals, managing budgets, ensuring compliance, and monitoring project progress. In addition, they will also oversee apprenticeship training administration. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, an effective communicator, and possess strong experience in grant management and compliance oversight.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategy and Planning
  • Research and identify new funding opportunities
  • Create and submit grant proposals, Letters of Intent (LOIs), and application materials
  • Work with Grant partners to obtain grants and ensure timely reporting.
  • Track and manage grant expenditures and performance, ensuring timely reporting.
  • Collaborate with Training and Apprenticeship teams to assess needs and foster relationships with funders.
  1. Pre- and Post-Award Administration
  • Manage all phases of the grant lifecycle, including proposal development, budget creation, contract implementation, award set-up, invoicing, payment applications, reporting, and close-out.
  • Lead kick-off meetings for awarded grants to align stakeholders and set clear expectations.
  • Coordinate implementation and monitor compliance with internal teams and external partners.
  • Work closely with finance and administrative staff to ensure that detailed budgets capture all project costs.
  1. Compliance and Documentation
  • Review and ensure compliance with all contract and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) requirements with the Legal team.
  • Ensure adherence to both funder and organizational guidelines throughout the life of the grant with the Legal and Human Resources team.
  1. Reporting and Communication
  • Prepare and submit progress reports to funders, including financial updates and project milestones.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with grant partners and stakeholders through clear and transparent communication.
  • Monitor and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) for grant-funded projects to measure their effectiveness.
  • Utilize insights to refine budgets, reporting processes, and overall grant strategies.
  1. Safety Training Administration
  • Understand the Registered Apprenticeships requirements ensuring training program documentation and reporting are compliant.
  • Maintain data for actionable reporting dashboards supporting all levels of the technical learning platform.
  • Look for process improvement and enhancements.
  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to navigate complex grant requirements - required
  • Ability to commute to our Lewisville, TX location up to 2-3 days a week. (Hybrid Position)
  • Ability to handle various tasks simultaneously, organize and schedule work, prioritize commitments.
  • You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality
  • You have advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks.
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Required Relevant Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Safety or Construction experience helpful
  • Database and PowerBI preferred

Salary Guidelines: $65,000 - $73,000/yr (DOE)
