This is a remote position.
We are looking for a Network Engineer to join our team in support of our DoD customer. The main function of the Network Engineer is to determine user requirements and design specifications for computer networks. A typical junior network engineer is responsible for supporting senior engineering staff in planning and implementing network and cyber security designs, implementations, and upgrades. This individual will be working with a wide range of products from vendors such as Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks, and Versa Networks and a multitude of other cyber security products that integrate within the overall network architectures of the customer.
Responsibilities Include:
- Analyze and make recommendations to adjust network sizes to meet volume or capacity demands.
- Support network operations, maintenance, repairs or upgrades.
- Assist in design for equipment configuration prototypes, including network hardware, software, servers, or server operation systems and automation methods with tools such as Ansible and Python.
- Review and approve solutions for network problems.
- Review and approve conceptual, logical or physical network designs.
- Develop procedures to track, project or report network availability, reliability, capacity or utilization.
- Assist in development or recommend network security measures, such as firewalls, network security audits, or automated security probes.
Requirements
- Required Citizenship/Clearance:
- US Citizenship is required.
- Must have a current DoD Secret clearance.
- Required Education:
- Bachelor's Degree. Additional equivalent experience may substitute for a degree.
- Required Experience:
- 5+ years of related experience.
- Required Certifications:
- Cisco CCNA
- DoD 8570 IAM/IAT Level III certification. This will change to a DoD 8140 equivalent once a DISA 8140 policy is released.
- Location:
- This is a remote position; however, individuals must be able to travel internationally (approximately 20%), and execute tasks required to implement customer solutions.

- Strong mentoring skills are necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware as it relates to compute and data storage.
- Strong knowledge of computer software, such as configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software and internet directory services software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware as it relates to compute and data storage.
- Strong knowledge of computer software, such as configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software and internet directory services software.
- Ability to write and modify common programing languages and templates such as Python, JSON and Jinja.
- Strong ability to design and implement both IPv4 and IPv6 network address schemes.
