We are looking for a dynamic LV/VD Lead Electrician. The successful electrician will be part of a production driven team, performing low voltage installations and troubleshooting.

DUTIES, SCOPE, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:



  • Must have proven experience as a Low-Voltage Lead supervising up to 6 employees.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience with SDLC and version control (git & Azure DevOps)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Possess initiative, execution, and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Possess analytical, problem-solving, organization and time management skills
  • Install cable support systems in new or existing buildings.
  • Mark and pull wires.
  • Establish cable pathways as prescribed by industry standards.
  • Terminate and test copper voice/data cables.
  • Install termination blocks, patch panels, and station hardware.
  • Installs security access controls and CCTV systems.
  • Assist superintendent when directed.
  • Assist in maintaining job records.
  • Train and direct LV installers and apprentice helpers
  • Cleanup work site each day
  • Comply with all safety regulations.
  • Ability to read, analyze and decipher scopes of work.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools, punch down, shears, and crimp tools.
  • Ability to read floor plans.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing
  • Other Duties as assigned


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:



  • Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves always), respirator when required.
  • Able to work 8-10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime, and night shifts (if required).
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, including crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required.
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
  • Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.


The starting hourly base pay for this role is between USD $28.00 and $31.00 per hour. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: location, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for bonus and benefits.
