Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Coordinator, Ambulatory Operations.

In this role, the successful candidate, the Project Coordinator, Ambulatory Operations, supports the Operational Leads with planning, implementation, and promotion of Clinical Affairs programs and services. This role will assist in supporting operational and financial strategies, initiatives, and business processes throughout the ambulatory network, including patient experience and patient access. As an integral member of the team, the Project Coordinator, Ambulatory Operations, will work closely with FGP stakeholders and ambulatory/department-based leads to monitor and share key performance indicators to support performance improvement initiatives and drive a culture of excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Analyzes opportunities for operational improvement based on review of key performance indicators, including: provider RVUs, P&Ls, Front End Scorecards, Patient Access metrics, and CG CAHPS data, working with key stakeholders on improvement plans.

  • Acts as a liaison between practice administrators and other departments (including finance, human resources, purchasing). Also, acts as a liaison for outside agencies (billing companies, vendors, etc.). Reviews and approves physician contracts and e-hires. Works with departments to evaluate and determine action on MSS items.

  • Manages and assists in special projects as needed, including front-end and clinical operations, patient access, patient experience, and training initiatives; providing status updates.

  • Develops/prepares ad hoc reports on specific issues to help Operational Leads and Senior Leadership make decisions.

  • Assists in tracking activities, managing open issues, and troubleshooting institutional issues as they relate to the FGP.

  • Follows up with leads on key initiatives, communicates updates, gathers and consolidates feedback, and reports progress.

  • Collaborates with Site and Regional Directors and Operations Leads in response to requests for information on a variety of operational issues and reporting matters, acting as an internal consultant.

  • Assists in meeting with network development/Ambulatory Ops Leads/business planning team to review business plan data for new transitions, develop a summary of key operational data to support transition planning.

  • Reviews financial reports of practices (billing reports, e-finance, daily deposit sheets) and analyzes P&L statements that accurately display the condition of the practice. Prepares reports and analyses as needed. Identifies and corrects errors. Assists in the preparation of budgets.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 1-2 years of work experience participating in improvement programs, problem-solving, time management, and prioritization skills, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills; self-motivated and detail-oriented with an excellent work ethic. Preferred Epic experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Healthcare experienced preferred.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,400.00 - $72,698.97 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
