The Opportunity

We are looking for a Systems Process Specialist (SPS) to act as an expert and be part of the support, continuous improvement, onboarding and adoption of value streams. The SPS has a profound process understanding and collaborates with the Business Support Community to continuously improve business processes and underlying IT applications. You will act as a trusted adviser of the end user for any kind of inquiry as well as a bridge between the end user and other roles in the various support layers. You can raise incidents on behalf of the user area or work with managers to train users. In projects, you will also represent the interests of the systems user group and have the responsibility of coordinating and bringing input from the area of responsibility to the project - communicating project goals, information, and progress back to the business areas. This position's preferred location is South San Francisco.

What You'll Do

  • End User Operation Support:

    • Perform 24x7 Level 1 On Site/Remote support and troubleshooting of applications, primarily focused on SAP S4/EWM/TM, GTS, OMP, RXO Connect, Integration Point but could expand to other systems.

    • Act as Point of Contact for End User/business stakeholders in terms of business requests and IT related issues.

    • Support the key users across PTSN by performing system configuration as part of Level 1 issue resolution

    • Escalate issues to the Level 2 and/or Global Team Support, supporting issue clarification on request and following up on tickets to resolve issues in a timely manner.

    • Proactively monitor system interfaces, analyze events with interface partners, initialize and perform troubleshooting.

    • Support site audits and inspections, planned/unplanned events, implementation of corrections, etc. as a Subject Matter Expert.

  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Lead continuous improvement opportunities related to Supply Chain applications/systems, including coaching and supporting colleagues in solving complex problems and in their continuous improvement efforts.

    • Regular exchange with the network and Business Process Managers (BPMs) on support cases, best practices, and process improvement proposals with network relevance.

    • Connect across the System Process Specialist community on support cases, best practices, and process improvement opportunities covering the entire scope of PTSN, including Logistics, Trade, CMO Order Supply Management, US Sales and Operations Planning, and KDC.

    • Responsible for overseeing the overall portfolio of process improvements across all scoped areas of PTSN

    • Build and maintain collaborative partnerships across the global network; communicate effectively with leadership and network partners on both routine and complex issues, influencing and driving effective change management cross-functionally

    • Help the End User to submit new ideas for process improvements, allowing a comprehensive approach for assessing both the process interdependencies as well as impact to all underlying systems.

  • Onboarding and Training:

    • Coordinate and conduct End User training.

    • Coach and guide colleagues across PTSN to increase system process expertise throughout the organization

    • Support user authorization workflows.

Who You Are

  • Preferred Bachelors Degree; ideal areas of focus include Supply Chain, Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field.

  • Preferred experience in biotech/pharmaceutical supply chain (logistics, trade, CDMO, and intercompany).

  • You are someone with 10+ years of experience with SAP S/4 HANA including eWM, TM, GTS is a plus. You must have deep expertise on integration with enterprise business systems (SAP, ATTP, CMO, 3/4PL, etc.) and data integrity concepts.

  • You have strong analytical skills for effective troubleshooting and problem-solving.

  • Ability to make high-impact decisions autonomously

  • You have excellent customer service skills and delivery through agile mindset, stability, flexibility, and speed.

Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $142,100 - $263,900. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
