Job Description

The VP - Executive Creative Director role is responsible for the executive leadership, strategy development and implementation of creative strategies that align with our clients' brand vision. Oversees teams, projects and campaigns to ensure alignment with brand goals and resonates with the target audience. Collaborates closely with senior executives and bridges the gap between business objectives and creative teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Drives creative excellence as the department head and leader of the creative organization and sets the overall direction for their team to ensure creative output is innovative and impactful.
  • Maintains and builds client relationships by serving as the senior agency and trusted advisor account contact or, in limited cases, the day-to-day "escalation point" for existing clients.
  • Sets the creative vision for the organization and a multitude of high-profile clients.
  • Works closely clients and internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensures the creative output meets their expectations.
  • Develops a creative strategy that aligns with the clients' brand goals and resonates with its target market and maintains a consistent brand voice and style.
  • Collaborates with clients to understand their needs and goals, address any concerns, and present creative solutions that align with the clients' brand identity.
  • Provides guidance, feedback, and mentorship to the team members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and creativity.
  • Ensures that projects and campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and meets the client's standards and expectations.
  • Support new business process and sales team on an as-needed basis, including identifying appropriate solution/approach as well as crafting and delivering presentation materials.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Design, Fine Arts or a related field
  • 15 years experience in the creative agency and/or marketing space
  • 10 years of experience in a leadership capacity
  • Experience in a creative leadership role, preferably within the advertising or marketing industry
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a creative team
  • A strong understanding of database marketing and analytic approaches that underpin the organization's core client solutions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate creative concepts to clients and stakeholders
  • A deep understanding of branding, marketing, and advertising principles
  • Proficiency in design software and tools

Additional Information

RRD's current salary range for this role is $170,600 to $273,000 / year. The salary range may be adjusted based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the future. At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program. RRD's benefit offerings include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, life insurance and other voluntary supplemental insurance coverages, plus parental leave, adoption assistance, tuition assistance and employer/partner discounts.
