Job Description

Print & Insert Operator Sr

About This Job: As a Print & Insert Operator Sr, you will be responsible for overseeing the movement of jobs to the appropriate machines, scanning them into the system, managing the production floor, and reporting any issues to the leads.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, with overtime available on Saturday/Sunday as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accurate transfer of jobs to the correct machines and scan them into the system.

  • Perform high-speed, high-volume production tasks, including printing and inserting checks, cards, and inserts.

  • Set up equipment, load materials, clear jams, and address minor malfunctions.

  • Maintain productivity and ensure the delivery of high-quality products within established deadlines.

  • Adhere to company operational procedures and policies to guarantee accuracy and quality in printing and inserting tasks.

  • Pay attention to detail when processing client files according to specific setup instructions.

  • Maintain accurate logs for checks, inserts, and postage.

  • Perform routine maintenance and adjustments to the system as required.

  • Restock supplies as needed and manage inventory tracking.

  • Train and assist less-experienced operators, providing guidance and support.

  • Serve as a lead on the team and act as a backup in the absence of the supervisor.

  • Collaborate with various departments, such as Quality Assurance and Presort Production, to resolve production issues.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to occasionally lift, stand, walk, and bend, and must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

  • Proficiency in the use of basic office equipment and applications specific to the function.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Clear, tactful, and constructive verbal and written communication skills.

  • Data entry skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in card production or machinery operation.
