The Contribution You'll bring to this Role:

The Material Handler ensures the safe movement of raw materials, finished goods and supplies into and out of the areas.

In this role, you will report directly to the Foam Oven/Assembly Supervisor, setting the stage for your career to soar! About the Team:

As a member of our Material Handling Team, you'll play a crucial role in the movement of raw materials, finished goods and supplies into and out of the Assembly and Foam Oven areas. With a strong focus on safety and reliability, the Material Handler Team collaborates closely with other departments. Their expertise and commitment to excellence reflect Justrite Safety Group's values, ensuring our operations meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

What You'll Do at Justrite:



  • Inspect and check forklift for safe and proper operation. Complete forklift inspection forms.
  • Provide associates with in process materials and supplies necessary to maintain production.
  • Transport finished products to designated areas.
  • Ensure products being removed from areas have the appropriate label, tag, color code dot and meet quality standards.
  • Completes raw material usage reports and inventory tickets.
  • Operates mixer and prepares totes for Oven Line. Ensures that all totes are properly labeled.
  • Performs Tote Room inventory count.
  • Records tote weights, record number and lot number on Tote Variance Report.
  • Performs viscosity checks and records on Tote Variance report.
  • Weighs and records scrap material. Transports waste to designated areas.
  • Compacts, bails and prepares cardboard for shipment.
  • Cleans cow pans on Oven Line.
  • Monitors cow pan to ensure material flow.
  • Provides relief to Foam Oven associates for breaks as requested.
  • Assists in maintaining department in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
  • Observes all safety and environmental procedures.
  • Performs other duties as requested by supervision.


Your Skills and Expertise:

To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:



  • Ability to read, write and perform basic math.
  • High degree of attention required to prevent injury to self and others.
  • Satisfactorily pass in-company forklift driver training program.
  • Ability to sit, stand and/or walk, for an 8-hour shift.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms; bend, stoop, and crouch.
  • The ability to use hands and fingers effectively to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to effectively communicate.
  • Must be able to wear safety glasses while in the plant and any other necessary PPE as required by the specific task.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.


    Compensation:

    The compensation for this position will include an hourly rate of $17.50 and is paid on a bi-weekly basis. In addition, there is a Hourly Production Bonus Plan that is designed to support Key Performance Indicators of your location and business unit.
