Machinist (Full-time) - Day Shift

This position is for 1st shift; Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm.

Under the direction of the Manager, the Machinist is responsible for CNC programming in our machine shop.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Services all the process development and machine building requirements of plants located in Suffolk County and other USA locations.
• Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

• Knowledge of setup and operating techniques for metalworking machine tools, with the primary emphasis on milling operations such as Mill, Lathe, Grinder etc.

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with CNC machinery required
• Ability to do minor editing in programs
• Must be able to read mechanical drawings
• Ability to conduct setup and operation

SKILLS:

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Must be able to multi-task and follow-up when responses are needed

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $26.80-$33.49. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
