This position is located at Patrick Space Force Base, Florida. It is eligible for a hybrid telecommuting schedule. Tasks for this position must be performed largely on-site, but later assignments may be performed remotely.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead a team of professionals to accomplish Launch and Test Range Services and Sustaining Engineering Configuration Management (CM) objectives while also monitoring, directing, and reporting on the resources required to meet these objectives.
  • Lead the CM team, manage performance against specified project requirement, schedules, and identified goals.
  • Prepare and coordinate work assignments to ensure a sufficient number of qualified resources are available for the projected workload.
  • Coordinate with the RGNext Project Management team to provide accurate monthly status of performance against work plans.
  • Analyze project report data weekly, make real-time adjustments, and elevate issues that contradict work plans.
  • Provide guidance to engineering, customers, and other support organizations.
  • Interface with other Sustaining Engineering supervisors to ensure proactive coordination and communication that results in team efficiencies.
  • Train and mentor (CM) personnel the activities in relationship to engineering project development processes and to CMDM activities; and, in the use of required tools to produce timely and quality products.
  • Prepare (CM) cost and schedule estimates.
  • Prepare and provide progress and status reports, and briefings as required or requested, to inform management of anticipated performance problems, issues, or improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and resolve issues and handle escalation and communication to management.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to (CM) personnel unable to meet RGNext standards for technical quality, customer service, or timeliness.
  • Management of time accountability via the timekeeping system with approval responsibilities and resolution of any timecard issues in accordance with RGNext policies.
  • Develop annual performance appraisals for employee sand develop annual goals.
  • Oversee execution and updates of (CM) processes, procedures, and desk guides.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Ability to establish and maintain highly effective internal and external working relationships including interfacing with employees, management, vendors and government personnel
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, process improvement, people management, project management, presentation skills and strategic decision-making
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use own judgment and initiative in problem resolution

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of engineering or relevant experience to include Configuration Management experience.
  • Understanding of Configuration Management disciplines
  • Knowledge of PDM/PLM tools and Source Control tools
  • Minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience preferred
  • Experience supporting the Launch Test Range Systems Integrated Support Contract (LISC) or in a DoD environment, preferred

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Occasional travel may be requested - up to 10%
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project requirements
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License required
