Overview

The Transportation Coordinator will be responsible for performing load planning activities, coordinate load assignments. This role is responsible for supporting customer needs on site, tendering to carrier, track and trace requirements and issues resolution. The position requires one to operate in the upmost professional manner to customer & carriers, efficiently manage their day with the guidance of their manager and to ensure customers' expectations are exceeded every day.



Responsibilities

    Coordinates and sets appointments for pick-up and delivery of freight
  • Organize the efficient use of our own fleet of Dedicated drivers
  • Develop strong carrier relationships to ensure high level of service and communication
  • Pull tracking updates through partner carrier systems, email and phones then push these updates to external/internal customers Management via Hub's systems.
  • Identify opportunities within Truck Network to reduce expenses
  • Daily communication with station managers to identify and schedule open loads and protect service.
  • Coordinates and sets appointments for pick-up and delivery of freight
  • Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, and deliver
  • Resolving conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably
  • Manage daily operations to positively impact Truck Brokerage KPIs and ensure customer scorecards metrics are met.
  • Excellent influencing skills: Ability to build strong business partnerships both internally and externally
  • Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary

Other Skills We Hope to See:

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of overall experience in the freight forwarding.
  • Proficient in Office 365 required.
  • Knowledge of AS400 a plus.
  • Ability to problem solve and be solution oriented.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral with the ability to communicate to employees and upper management levels.
