ABOUT THE JOB
* Understand, follow, and enforce all established safety, health, quality, Food Safety, GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices.
* Use chemicals and cleaning equipment to clean and sanitize product lines and production equipment to meet Food Safety Standards.
* Disassemble/reassemble to clean and sanitize machine parts.
* Operate CIP systems.
* Cover motors, electrical equipment and screens.
* Remove trash.
* Clean Recycle Room daily and keep organized while communicating any non-standard issues to maintenance and supervision.
* Complete satisfactorily all training for food safety, sanitation, and housekeeping practices to ensure compliance with company practices and policies.
* Use personal protective equipment at all times.
* Batch and test chemical batch strengths safely.
* Operate water systems.
* Handle chemical barrels.
* Clean and sanitize other areas of the building/facility as needed, including but not limited to: Floors, walls, common areas, dock areas, etc.
* Report any machinery problems to supervisor.
* Complete all required documentation.
* Set-up and monitor machines to ensure manufacturing standards are met (correct fill heights, all cans are being seamed) and to prevent possible malfunctioning.
* Observe quality of product and remove any defective cans from the production line.
* Monitor filling equipment, flow mixture.
* Keep seamer supplied with lids.
* Follow all clean up procedures both on the machine and the work area. Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations.
* Follow all Food Safety and GMP Policies.

ABOUT YOU
* Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent education.
* Prefer 1 year of manufacturing, high speed packaging, or food manufacturing experience.
* Capability to learn and understand the equipment's complete CIP process enabling basic troubleshooting skills for process execution while able to identify issues and opportunities necessary to complete the sanitation CIP tasks. Must clearly communicate in a timely manner any limiting issues to Maintenance and/or supervision.
* Prefer candidates with experience in use of power industrial equipment and lifts, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and hand tools.
* Must have a strong understanding of GMP's, HACCP and SQF guidelines.
* Requires use of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
* Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
* Requires basic communication skills in order to interact with and understand work assignments.
* Requires ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Requires ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
* Must be able to stand/Walk for 12 hours per day
* Must be able to lift, Push, Pull up to 60 pounds on a regular basis, up to 100 pounds occasionally.
* Must be able to bend, twist, stoop and squat, reach above shoulders as needed for day to day responsibilities and other miscellaneous duties.
* Must have good hand and eye coordination.
* Ability to work at heights that are above ground level.
* Able to read, write, and communicate in English
* Must be able to work in temperatures of 80 degrees or more.
* Must be able to work overtime, during peak production periods.
