Requisition ID# 164492 Job Category: Environmental Management / Safety Job Level: Supervisor Business Unit: Engineering, Planning & Strategy Work Type: Hybrid Job Location: West Sacramento Department Overview Environmental Managementis a multidisciplinary team of environmental professionals focused on managing PG&E's environmental permitting and compliance associated with Company project operations and maintenance by engaging our employees to better understand our business partners work and providing superior customer service. Aligning our operations and our people with the business partners we serve facilitates better planning, execution, and overall service delivery. The Environmental Management department aligns its goals with the Enterprise Stands and Goals. Some of these goals, such as achieving a healthy environment for Californians, require the collective effort of our team and stakeholders across and beyond the Company. The Cultural Resource Specialist team, within the Environmental Management department, is responsible for providing compliance and regulatory support to all operations departments throughout the service territory, including gas and electric transmission and distribution, vegetation management, power generation, and system hardening and undergrounding. Our work requires close integration between Company operations departments and other Environmental Management teams comprised of environmental field specialists, land planners, biologists, and environmental scientists. We work together to help the Company comply with environmental regulations while maintaining trusted relationships with regulatory and tribal entities. Position Summary The Environmental Supervisor position will oversee a team of Cultural Resource Specialist (CRS) direct reports (~8 to 2 staff) that provide subject matter expertise on a variety of PG&E projects and programs. In this role you will monitor and support work planning and execution performance, foster internal and external business partnerships, and support change management and program implementation responsibilities with staff on the CRS team and peers throughout Environmental Management. As an Environmental Supervisor, you will ensure industry leading environmental and cultural program implementation by translating environmental risk into opportunities that reduce liability and improve business performance. The Environmental Supervisor also works with various line of business (LOB) management team members to promote good working relationships to resolve problems and reduce environmental risk, and to ensures work practices have fully compliant processes that are consistently implemented. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of thejob posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will bebased on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience,market value, geographic location, and internal equity. A reasonable salary range is: Bay Area Minimum: $128,000 Bay Area Maximum: $218,000 &/OR California Minimum: $122,000 California Maximum: $207,000 Job Responsibilities Job duties may include, but are not limited to: * Environmental Strategy Implementation: Executes PG&E environmental policies and procedures and assures regulatory compliance. Interacts with Lines of Business to integrate environmental risk management within key business processes. Partner with Line of Business to define and communicate environmental roles and responsibilities. Provides and facilitates guidance and best practices which are relevant to line of business. * Environmental Compliance: Works with all Departments to develop and implement compliance processes; provides common tools (checklists, protocols, etc.) and technical expertise when needed. Implements environmental compliance programs to achieve LOB environmental objectives and metrics. Ensures environmental policies and procedures are integrated within Line of Business based on environmental risk factors. Reports status of site environmental performance to the management team, LOB and corporate management. Develops local agency and tribal relationships with the objective of a single contact for each stakeholder. * Environmental Metrics: Evaluates trends, and identifies major risks and potential problems. Identify major incident root causes and actions to prevent reoccurrence. Assess implementation of environmental activities/programs and report progress to Manager(s) and LOB on routine basis. Establishes processes to meet LOB and PG&E business objectives and metrics. * Environmental Budget: Manages the environmental budget to execute programs within agreed limits; establish processes to build and sustain resource efficiency. Provides strategic contracting support and guidance associated with the teams work priorities and expectations. * Safety: Continuously drive safety performance using training, tools, initiatives and other resources provided to improve safety. Use available communication tools and resources to inform and engage employees about the importance of safety at PG&E and employee accountability regarding safety. Embrace and model the PG&E Safety Pledge and ensure compliance with all company work procedures and safe work practices. Identify and mitigate unsafe work conditions. * Environment Stewardship: Demonstrates Environment Stewardship by taking responsibility in promoting environmental quality to create a more sustainable future.
