Description

Under general supervision, this role manages the organoid pipeline and supports molecular, cell biological, and biomedical research. Key responsibilities include maintaining and validating hESC and iPSC stem lines, generating and treating organoids, and preparing samples for RNA analysis, immunostaining, and other downstream applications.

Additional duties include performing molecular biology techniques (cloning, PCR, immunostaining), culturing mammalian cells, assisting with experimental design and execution, and ensuring lab reagent organization and inventory management.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and skilled in wet-lab techniques, contributing to cutting-edge research in a dynamic laboratory environment.

Salary: $26.52 - $31.63 hourly

Qualifications

REQUIRED


  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word and Excel..
  • Strong organizational skills, including ability to keep a lab notebook and organize common lab resources.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to convey experimental results.
  • Ability to learn new methods and protocols and to adapt these to current laboratory situations.
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with faculty, staff, postdoctoral fellows, and students.

PREFERRED


  • B.S. in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Computer Science or other related science.
  • Experience in a wet lab, either through classes or academic research
  • Knowledge of basic cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemical principles.
  • Ability to use laboratory equipment, including centrifuges, pH meter, PCR machines etc.
  • Ability to handle tissue culture and maintain sterility.
