Summary of Job Duties:The Director of the Library and Textbook Rental program is responsible to the Vice Chancellor for Academics and has the following duties:

* To plan, organize and administer all aspects of campus library services in conformity with the policies established by UACCHT Administration.
* To maintain a collection of automated databases, books, periodicals and audiovisual materials through campus-wide staff, faculty and administrative input.
* To supervise automated interlibrary loan and cataloging activities and to be able to perform interlibrary loan or cataloging duties as needed.
* To maintain an atmosphere in the library conducive to maximum utilization by all clients.
* Perform student faculty training in use of automated Library systems and databases and prepare bibliographic and instructional materials for training activities.
* Supervising processing procedures for incoming materials, cataloging errors in the existing collection, weeding of the existing collection and performing routine duties at the circulation desk as needed.
* To be responsible for the physical facilities by monitoring the activities of maintenance workers and the condition of the building and reporting to maintenance and facilities supervisors as needed.
* To oversee and manage the textbook rental program and textbook operations including: to be responsible for textbook acquisition, shipping and receiving textbooks, maintain textbook databases, and manage the renting / returning of books.
* Oversee employees
* Manage departmental budget.
* Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:

Master Degree, minimum 5 years employment higher education capacity.

Masters in Library Science preferred.

UAHT considers other education and experience to be accepted where the candidate can demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the college, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position
