Job Description

Johnson County Community Developmental Disabilities Organization (CDDO) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Administrative Specialist. CDDO serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We focus on individuals' abilities, provide choice driven supports, and advocate alongside people to live and work in our community. We aspire to build a community that promotes, supports, and embraces people of all abilities. Initial review of candidates will begin Tuesday, April 8, 2025.

Essential Job Functions:

    Acquire choice and referral responsibilities daily; including tracking, updating and disseminating referrals for people changing and entering services into Welligent (CDDO electronic record).
  • Gathers information; creates, maintains and disseminates files both public and confidential; develops and distributes reports; performs typing and data entry; and processes transactions into systems.
  • Daily entering and monitoring data from the network of providers in Johnson County into the state's electronic health record (KAMIS); this will include CDDO assessments into KAMIS.
  • Reviews discrepancies in data; confirms and determines accurate data; updates, revises or modifies data to ensure accurate information is available and performs data verification in accordance with standard processes and procedures.
  • Answers phones, refers calls and customers, greets customers and gives standard information in response to phone, email, or in-person inquiries; tracks and monitors calls to provide quality control; acts as liaison between department and the public.


Job Requirements

Minimum Job Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent is required and two (2) years of experince in the field are required.

Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency.

Associate's degree in Office Administration or related field preferred.

Experience may subsistue for education.

Education may subsistue for experience.

Physical, Environmental, and Special Working Conditions:

Lifting: 50lbs.

Exposure to hazardous materials (bodily fluids).

All County employees may be called upon to assist other departments in a declared emergency situation.
