Senior User Researcher

100% REMOTE

Overview: We are seeking a Senior User Researcher to lead and execute research initiatives that inform the development of user-centered clinical service lines. This role will focus on understanding the needs of Medicare and Medicaid users, ensuring that digital products and services are equitable, accessible, and effective. You will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to drive research-driven decision-making.

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in user research, UX research, or human-centered design.
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Experience researching diverse and underserved populations, including older adults and individuals with disabilities.
  • Strong ability to translate research insights into design and product strategy.
  • Proficiency with research tools such as UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, Dovetail, or similar.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, storytelling, and communication skills.


Preferred:

  • Experience working on Medicare, Medicaid, or healthcare-related projects.
  • Knowledge of federal accessibility and usability standards.
  • Background in public sector, GovTech, or regulated industries.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end user research projects, including planning, execution, and synthesis.
  • Develop research strategies aligned with business and user objectives.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research (e.g., usability testing, interviews, surveys, ethnographic studies).
  • Advocate for accessibility, inclusivity, and usability in healthcare digital services.
  • Synthesize complex research findings into clear insights and actionable recommendations to be handed off to UX Service designers.
  • Present findings to cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
