Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Grinder / Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, grinding, and painting sheet metal components to meet quality and production standards. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency with hand and power tools, and experience with metal finishing and industrial painting techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grind, deburr, and smooth sheet metal surfaces using grinders, sanders, and other tools.
  • Prepare metal parts for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers or coatings.
  • Apply industrial paint using spray guns according to specifications.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring smooth finishes and proper adhesion.
  • Operate and maintain grinding and painting equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Follow safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials and PPE usage.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with general fabrication tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in metal grinding, finishing, and/or industrial painting.
  • Familiarity with various grinding tools, and spray painting techniques.
  • Ability to lift and handle metal components safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and hazardous material handling.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:

  • Industrial setting with exposure to noise, dust, and paint fumes (PPE provided).
  • Requires standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.
