Overview

ANV Global Services underwrites as a Global MGU with centers in Europe, and the USA. From our offices in Barcelona, London and Morristown, NJ, we provide underwriting expertise for some of the strongest and highest rated and financial partners in the market. The Claims Team at ANV works closely with insureds, brokers and underwriters to ensure that claims are handled in a fair, appropriate and consistent manner.

We are currently looking for a Claims Technical Operations Specialist to join our Team in Morristown, New Jersey.

As a Claims Technical Operations Specialist, you will serve as a champion for the customer and primary point of contact for technical claim operations. You will work directly with customer-facing staff across multiple business groups. You will proactively assist Claims Team in the administration, operation and management of claims and be liaison between claims and operations to promote claim handling efficiencies. Additionally, using various software applications, you will be responsible for developing and presenting claims metrics and reports.



Responsibilities

    Identifies opportunities to streamline claim operations.
  • Review new claim notifications to ensure timely and proper set-up and acknowledgement of claims.
  • Process claims and other document types by using case-specific/product specific procedures to verify the accuracy of claims and supporting documentation. Maintain claim file documentation, spreadsheets and bordereaux.
  • Assist in the adjustment of Claims, where appropriate, in accordance with ANV's policies/ procedures, ANV MGU Claim Handling Procedures, and the relevant Claims Handling authorities, (once authority is granted), to ensure claims are handled fairly, effectively, efficiently and with the highest standard of care.
  • Process and manage all claim payments to ensure timely payments and tracking of any outstanding balances.
  • Where appropriate assist in the review of claims.
  • Correspond with brokers and insureds to support the effective management of claims.
  • Respond promptly to all claim inquiries, both internal and external.
  • Assist with all claim reporting and any additional ad hoc analytical reports.
  • Support all claim audits.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Promote the growth and strong reputation of ANV Global Services / AmTrust Group.
  • Assist Operations Manager with additional ad hoc projects to help achieve overall operation efficiencies with the Claims and Underwriting Teams.


Qualifications

Required:

  • BA or BS required.
  • Experience in insurance industry or legal field a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent internal and external communication, interpersonal and listening skills.
  • Must be a team player who enjoys a fast paced business and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Comfortable in an ambiguous, ever-changing environment.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills with both customers and within the corporation.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Creative problem-solver with strong quantitative skills that can spot patterns, trends, and opportunities in data.
  • Creative thinker with natural curiosity.
  • Self-motivated, innovative and able to work autonomously with little direction.
