Role Summary:

The Senior Project Controls Administrator (PCA) is responsible for providing support to projects as well as creating and updating standardized processes for the Project Controls department. As the expert on Buckeye systems, the Senior PCA works with all other Buckeye departments to integrate system and process changes and trains the team on the update. In addition, the Senior PCA is responsible to manage the feasibility work order and project budgets and accounts process.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions include:




  • Systems. Be an in all Buckeye systems including JDE, OPPM, Cognos, ADP/Open Invoice, etc. Be able to trouble shoot system issues and work with IT and other business units to solve problems. Develop testing plans for IT system upgrades and execute testing. Keep log of all ongoing IT tickets that affect PCA duties.



  • Processes and Training. Develop new processes and create training manuals for all PCA processes. Train new Project Controls Administrators on systems and project controls processes and provide ongoing support.



  • Accounts and Budgets. Load accounts and budgets to JDE upon AFE approval. Update budget amounts when Supplemental AFEs are approved. Responsible to ensure all budgets are accurate per approved amounts.


  • Project Development Funding and Cost Controls - Manages the AFE Workflow, Creates and manages new WOs and JDE budgets. Executes capital reclasses when projects move forward.

  • Project Cost Control. Develop cost tracking tools for all new projects upon AFE approval. Update cost tracking tool each month and work with Project Manager to collect accruals and update forecasts, contingency and EAC. Submit all accruals to accounting based on accounting calendar.



  • Collaboration. Collaborate with other Buckeye teams including Accounting, Supply Chain, and E&CS to support projects.



  • Customer Service. Provide ongoing customer service support to Project Managers, Accounting, Supply Chain and other Buckeye departments.



  • And other duties as assigned.





Position Requirements:




  • High School education required.



  • 10+ years' experience in a similar Administrative Support role preferred.



  • Experience with budgeting or accounting is a plus



  • Experience in project management or engineering is a plus



  • Must be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.



  • Knowledge of pipeline industry and terminology is highly desirable.





Certificates & Licenses:




  • PMP a plus

  • To be successful in this assignment, the incumbent must possess excellent organizational skills, excellent interpersonal and communications skills for interacting with all levels of Company officers and employees as well as outside vendors, suppliers and especially customers.





Essential Functions:




  • This position requires the ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or/quantitative productivity standards.



  • This role requires the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.



  • This position requires compliance with all personnel policies.





Physical & Safety Requirements:




  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.



  • This role continuously operates a computer and other office productivity equipment (i.e. a calculator, copy machine and computer printer).



  • The employee is frequently required to effectively communicate with others.
