Responsibilities

We are HIRING!.... Our JOC Program is looking for an IT Project Manager. This program is responsible for supporting the IRS contact center environment and for managing business initiatives and related projects to improve the contact center's ability to provide service to taxpayers. This is a full-time onsite position.

What will you do:

    Plans, initiates, and manages information technology (IT) projects.
  • Leads and guides the work of technical staff.
  • Serves as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.
  • Plans project stages and assesses business implications
  • Assists in the development of needs assessments and recommended project control solutions to be used for planning, scheduling, and tracking of each project through integration of various project management tools.
  • Will serve as the main point of contact.
  • This individual will also be responsible for project planning and management efforts such as recommending appropriate allocation of resources within budget; and supporting proper reporting requirements within a timely manner.
  • Must be able to implement and maintain schedules and may meet with the customer to obtain feedback and direction.
  • May perform such other management support functions as required, including training and mentorship to personnel, ensuring proper resourcing, and creating status reporting to senior management.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree.
  • Experience in project management, including the creation and management of schedules, performance reporting and/or similar functions.
  • Requires expertise in project management applications and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project).
  • Must be able to identify and communicate program risks and recommend mitigation.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active MBI clearance is a plus

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
