Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Contracts Manager. This role works closely with sales, legal, and operations, and you will support reviewing, negotiating, managing, reporting, and storing all contracts for the Aerospace and Energy Business Unit. As the Contracts Manager, you will ensure that all customer contracts align with our corporate policy, industry-related best practices, and government regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

    Responsible for managing the preparation, negotiation, acceptance, and on-going review of assigned government and commercial contracts and subcontracts across the A&E business unit
  • Manage all phases of the contract administration process from inception through completion including preparing, reviewing, and approving all contractual documents to ensure protection of the company's contractual posture, satisfaction of contract specifications and requirements, identification of risk factors, and adherence to company policy, as well as appropriate laws and regulations
  • Manage contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
  • Manage the review of agreements and evaluate documentation and authorization forms to identify high risk provisions and determine if the minimum requirements are met
  • Advises management of contractual rights, issues, and obligations and provide interpretation of terms
  • Develop, execute, maintain, and continuously improve all Contract Management materials and resources for the A&E Business Unit
  • Facilitate the A&E contracts within established platform(s) (SharePoint, Doc365, and others)


Skills / Qualifications

This is a fast-paced environment, and we need someone who is proactive, self-motivated and a team player. The person for this role will be a specialist in their field, respected by all who they work with, keen to learn and enthusiastic in the face of challenge.

We are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • At least 5 years' experience in negotiating commercial and business contracts
  • 2 years of government contracting experience preferred
  • Excellent contract negotiation skills and ability to seek a win / win with customers
  • Experience with a contracts lifecycle management system(s)
  • The ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate multiple work phases to maximize prioritization of critical contract activities
  • Ability to prioritize and work under tight deadlines
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work hybrid in our Blue Ash, OH GBS location - preferred
