Overview

As an intern with General Dynamics OTS you will gain real-world cyber experience from an enterprise that takes pride in Delivering the Best to the Best.

The internship will include working with suppliers concerning their compliance with government cybersecurity regulations. The intern will be responsible for conducting supplier contacts through emails and calls to gain status updates. There will also be the opportunity to be involved in group projects to learn more about the OTS supplier cybersecurity process.

This internship is in-person at our St. Petersburg, FL location during the dates of May 19th to August 8th, 2025.



Major Position Responsibilities

    Provides support to technical employees working in an organizational function related to the Intern's area of study.
  • Assists with technical tasks and project support.
  • Supports equipment set up and monitors tests and experiments.
  • Observes results, collects data, and compiles summaries and reports.
  • Learns technical processes and procedures.
  • Job shadows other more experienced professionals and or support staff.
  • May also support the documentation & updates of procedures or work instructions.
  • Handles basic issues and problems


Basic Qualifications

  • Required education and experience: Must be currently enrolled in related Technical courses or be within 6 months of graduation.
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Ability to work as part of a team. Oral and written communication skills. Attentiveness. Ability to understand and follow directions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
  • Discipline/Major: Information Technology or Business Degree preferred

Physical Demands:

  • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • May need to stand for long periods of time.
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

PTO, Holiday, and Family Leave

Employees will receive 13 paid holidays and 120 hours of PTO annually and up to 3 weeks paid family leave.
