Summary
Responsible for leading the major gifts program and driving business development efforts to secure substantial donations and partnerships by cultivating relationships with high-net-worth individuals, corporations, and foundations, while also exploring new opportunities for revenue generation and strategic partnerships.

Essential Functions
-Develop and execute a comprehensive major gifts strategy to secure significant donations from high-net-worth individuals, corporations, and foundations.

-Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gift prospects through prospect research, networking, and relationship building.

-Collaborate with the executive team, board members, and volunteers to leverage their networks and support major gift fundraising efforts.

-Develop and maintain strong relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and key stakeholders.

-Provide personalized stewardship and recognition to major donors, ensuring their ongoing engagement and support.

-Work closely with internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration in delivering donor-centric initiatives.

-Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the major gifts and business development teams.

-Develop and manage budgets related to major gifts and business development activities.

Education
Bachelor's Degree Business Administration required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required

Licenses and Credentials

Experience
Fundraising/Philanthropy Experience 8-10+ years required and Marketing Experience 5-7 years required and Management Experience 5-7 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated experience in major gift fundraising is essential.
- This includes a track record of successfully soliciting and closing significant gifts from individuals, corporations, or foundations.
- Strong understanding of cultivation strategies, donor stewardship, and the donor life cycle.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills in order to manage and lead a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
- Advanced knowledge in prospect research techniques and tools to identify and evaluate potential major gift donors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically and develop comprehensive fundraising strategies for major gift acquisition.
