Empath Health is currently seeking a Remote Data Analyst to Transform Data into Impact while supporting our Mission!

This position is part of a team responsible for analyzing and interpreting data to support organizational decision-making and strategy development, as well as developing and maintaining data pipelines to ensure efficient data flow.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Effectively communicate with colleagues and leadership at all levels of the organization regarding data analysis and insights.
2. Design and maintain databases of information related to various business processes and metrics.
3. Develop, implement, and maintain data pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable data flow across the organization.
4. Coordinate data collection and reporting efforts across departments.
5. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to support decision-making.
6. Perform data cleaning, transformation, and analysis using various tools and techniques.
7. Conduct statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
8. Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all analyses and reports.
9. Provide customer service and troubleshooting support to colleagues using data systems.
10. Maintain documentation of data sources, methodologies, and processes.
11. Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate data from different systems.
12. Train and support colleagues in data literacy and usage of analytical tools.
13. Communicate with finance and other departments to prepare reports for yearly budgets and financial analysis.
14. Provide statistical reports as needed by management in a variety of user-friendly reporting modes.
15. Respond to inquiries for data and analysis from regulatory bodies, colleagues, and leadership team as needed.
16. Provide support as needed for data-related projects and initiatives.
17. Assist all team leadership as requested with team projects.
18. Perform other tasks as assigned by the Data Analytics Director or equivalent.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Two (2) years experience in data analysis and data engineering preferred.
  • Advanced level computer skills to include: Excel, SQL, Python/R, Tableau, data visualization tools, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages, including Excel, SQL, Python/R, and Tableau.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and perform data cleaning, transformation, and manipulation.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and database management.
  • Understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in fast-paced situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to high-quality data analysis and support.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
