The Legal Recruiting Assistant plays a crucial role in the Legal Recruiting team, providing administrative support to attract top legal talent. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Legal Recruiting, this position will support the execution of various recruiting initiatives and programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in organizing and implementing the Summer Associate Program, including tracking pre-arrival details, drafting arrival notices, scheduling orientation sessions, conducting exit interviews, and helping to coordinate social events and training programs.
  • Support all aspects of the recruiting season and on-campus interview process, such as registering for interview programs, resume collect programs, and job fairs. Help maintain interview and candidate files, schedule interviews and second-look visits, and assist with post-offer recruiting events.
  • Aid in organizing applications for lateral associate and judicial clerk candidates, including preparing summaries for hiring partner reviews and coordinating with select search firms.
  • Monitor the Legal Recruiting email account daily, fielding inquiries and directing them as needed.
  • Maintain the recruiting database (viRecruit) and manage candidate files throughout the recruiting process.
  • Prepare department correspondence, including offer letters for potential candidates.
  • Coordinate candidate and associate hire payments, including travel expenses.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality, discretion, and integrity, especially regarding sensitive firm and client information.
