*Description*
This role will be responsible for running day to day program management activities for Gas Infrastructure's IT department. Within the program are many projects with the various departments inside Gas Infrastructure which range between application development, infrastructure, software implementation and system enhancements/upgrades. These projects are divided between: Transformation projects, Velocity Projects, and run-the-business/ business case projects. - Day to day activities encompass: updating project forecasted spend based on inputs from project managers and leaders, updating project/deliverable schedules, meeting with project teams/stakeholders to identify/mitigate risks, preparing material for presentation to leadership, updating reporting systems (Jira, Confluence, MS Project) to reflect last information for projects. Responsibilities * Daily program management throughout the program life cycle. * Defining the program governance (controls). * Planning the overall program and monitoring the progress. * Managing the program's budget. * Managing risks and issues and taking corrective measurements. * Coordinating the projects and their interdependencies. * Managing and utilizing resources across projects. * Managing stakeholders' communication. * Aligning the deliverables (outputs) to the program's "outcome" with the aid of the business change manager. * Managing the main program documentations such as the program initiation document. Skills The program manager must have strong practical experience in project management, which was gained through managing large and complex projects. He or she must have the following: * Good knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques. * Good understanding of the wider objectives of the program. * Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in program management. * Strong leadership and management skills. * Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures. * The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems. Role Specific Requirements * Highly experienced with MS Project to develop multi-year plans for 30-40 projects with overlapping resources, timeline constraints, dependencies and clean report out * Experience with budget ownership. Responsible for managing and reporting project forecasts, actual spend.
