Job Announcement

Performs complex and technical paraprofessional work, requiring independent review and analysis of information. Responsible for application file creation and distribution, creation of GIS application maps, reviewing and distributing staff reports and hearing packages, and managing electronic records.

Note: The salary for this position will not exceed the midpoint of the advertised salary range.
Note: In accordance with current Fairfax County telework and personnel policies, this position is eligible for partial telework. Telework enrollment and continuance are subject to supervisor approval and county policy.


Employment Standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to:
High school graduation or a GED issued by a state department of education;
plus, four years of non-professional planning or zoning related work, as defined by the area to which assigned.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check and driving record check to the satisfaction of the employer.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Seeking candidates experienced in electronic records management and using independent judgment to create and finalize complex high-volume distribution for different case types to multiple departments. This candidate must possess strong reviewing skills, attention to detail and the ability to accomplish tasks on a rotating basis within strict scheduled deadlines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employee will be required to do some walking, bending, standing, and carrying of items of less than 15 lbs. in weight. Position is primarily sedentary. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Panel interview and may include exercise.
