KeyBank - Digital Marketing Acquisition Manager

KeyBank is looking for an experienced digital marketer to manage its new client acquisition across search engine marketing (SEM), affiliate marketing, search engine optimization (SEO) and portions of the consumer website. Reporting to the Head of Consumer Acquisition and Marketing, this role will directly manage our search engine marketing program and affiliate marketing program in partnership with our agencies, and manage a team focused on web content and SEO.

About the Job

The Digital Marketing Acquisition Manager is responsible for owning our paid search and affiliate marketing program across the bank, with emphasis on our consumer banking products. This role will be critical in running one of the top channels for new client acquisition for the bank. In addition to partnering with our SEM agency on strategy and execution, this role also needs to coordinate ad creation, review, and approvals within Key, targeting approval, offer code requests, and landing page requests. This role will work in an Agile framework, so previous experience working in Agile is a plus.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop annual marketing plan to achieve established line of business objectives
  • Develop roadmap and update as appropriate to align with business priorities and changing macro conditions
  • Act as a consultant and leader, providing direction on best practices for digital experiences; partner with cross-functional teams to achieve desired objectives
  • Set acquisition strategy for checking paid search in partnership with agency
  • Set affiliate marketing strategy for checking and credit cards
  • Serve as Key's main contact with SEM agency and affiliate partners
  • Coordinate creative and landing page updates, and providing input on design and strategy
  • Monitor and optimize content for SEO maximization
  • Route targeting, ads and landing pages through Key review and approval
  • Collaborate with Analytics partners and agency to report on key performance metrics
  • Monitor, track, and analyze results making changes swiftly based on performance or trends
  • Designs tests to optimize performance and meet goals
  • Manage assigned SEM budgets and provide input on annual budget allocation for programs and tests
  • Manage a team of marketing consultants focused on new client acquisition

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in search engine marketing or related marketing experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in affiliate/aggregator marketing
  • Expertise using Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising platforms
  • Experience with web analytics tools, such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, IBM Digital Analytics or others
  • Experience managing a team and their career development
  • Thrives in a creative, fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to effectively manage and execute numerous projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Ability to take initiative, negotiate effectively and build productive relationships with business partners
  • Effective verbal and written communicator, able to communicate with a variety of audiences and management levels, and translate business requirements into technical requirements
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Effective analytical skills
  • Experience working with tools like Jira and Confluence
  • Experience in financial services
  • Excellent Communication Skills

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $94,000 to $130,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
