Responsibilities
  • Assist test Engineer/Manager in performing and executing site testing activities.
  • Ensure all hardware and software performs according to the relevant test specification.
  • Understand test specifications, drawings, basic schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Perform a variety of electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical inspections/tests for checking the product characteristics.
  • Assist the Test Engineer in troubleshooting and fault-finding board cards replacement, connectors replacement, wiring testing and crimping, etc.
  • Record detected faults and report any defects or deviations from the specification.
  • Utilize experience, select the best means to inspect and test in the most efficient manner.
  • Record inspection/test results and test configuration.
  • Utilize engineering drawings, bill of material and technical specifications.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $57k - $106k / year.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week.

Length: Direct Placement.

Requirements
  • Technical bachelor's degree in electronics or electricity, or equivalent experience in a function in the industrial environment.
  • Equivalent experience of 8 years in an engineering or technician position may substitute for degree with documented post high school training or supervisor experience.
  • 2 years of experience in the design, installation, or test and commissioning of train signal and/or communication systems.
  • Desirable: Previous T&C or Maintenance experience for Railway Signaling is an asset.
  • Experience in preparing and executing testing activities in the field.
  • Ability to ensure defects identification (open nonconformities) and correction (trouble shooting).
  • Able to work at physical work location is SeaTac Airport.
  • Flexibility and mobility, available for short or long mission in different locations and countries.
  • Available to work at night, during weekends and on public holidays.
  • Rigorous & team player.
  • Resilience, with an analytic way of thinking in order to solve complex system failures.
  • Customer satisfaction and results orientated.
  • Able to communicate in an open and clear manner with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to use new technologies and tools.
  • Driving license.
  • Able to lift 40 pounds without assistance and walk quickly on uneven surfaces in full personal protection equipment (PPE).
