Job Description Our team has been supporting a major tech company since 2017 across more than 50 different pillars, including Research, Design, Development, Marketing, Content, Data, and others. Over the years, we have hired close to 5,000 contractors and contributed to a variety of exciting product launches. In this role, you would be focused on Media on devices, covering a variety of topics such as consumption, creation of media on devices, new forms of capturing images, new forms of combining images and data, and leveraging AI within media content. This is primarily a qualitative role (usability, concept testing), but there is also an opportunity to lean into dogfooding surveys and descriptive stats if those are in your wheelhouse. As a UX researcher, you will have the opportunity to partner with a diverse set of stakeholders in ideating, building, and launching brand new products. Research is paramount to this organization's success. Formative research is needed to identify the right underserved needs or problems in the world to tackle with product solutions. Iterative design research is needed to mold early product ideas into testable prototypes, and evaluative research is needed to improve and tune those products for market. Job Responsibilities You will: * Collaborate closely with researchers, designers, PMs, and engineers to identify, define, and deliver meaningful products into the world. * Develop and execute research roadmaps collaboratively. * Lead various research studies throughout all phases of the product development cycle. * Contribute to product strategy and execution. Skills You should have: * Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills. * Strong ability to work independently and manage your time. * Experience with qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis to inform product and design decisions. * Experience with storytelling to get traction with various audiences. * Experience with autonomy and decision-making to balance demands. Education/Experience * PhD or MA in a human behavior-related field such as human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, communication, information science, media studies, computer science, or economics. Additional Skills & Qualifications This role is hybrid onsite in either Burlingame, Seattle, or NYC (for the purpose of having access to specialized labs). Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $92.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
