Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role is essential to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of PDW's financial records. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation in accounting and the strategic thinking necessary to support a scaling organization.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on schedule.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, including completing bank reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of supporting schedules.
- Maintain and update fixed asset schedules; calculate and record depreciation.
- Assist in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
- Analyze financial data and prepare ad hoc and scheduled reports.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Provide documentation and support during external audits
- Assist with tax preparation and filings as required.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies or irregularities.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Perform additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience (manufacturing and/or start-up experience preferred).
- Solid understanding of GAAP.
- Experience using a large ERP system (NetSuite preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
ITAR Requirement
Due to compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), candidates must be U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents (Green Card holders), or individuals granted asylee/refugee status per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
