Staff Accountant

At Performance Drone Works (PDW), we're at the forefront of developing custom small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) for the modern warfighter. Proudly American-owned, PDW designs, engineers, and manufactures all products domestically.

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role is essential to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of PDW's financial records. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation in accounting and the strategic thinking necessary to support a scaling organization.

• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on schedule.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including completing bank reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of supporting schedules.
• Maintain and update fixed asset schedules; calculate and record depreciation.
• Assist in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Analyze financial data and prepare ad hoc and scheduled reports.
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Provide documentation and support during external audits
• Assist with tax preparation and filings as required.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies or irregularities.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience (manufacturing and/or start-up experience preferred).
• Solid understanding of GAAP.
• Experience using a large ERP system (NetSuite preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
