Job Description

Summary
The Vice President (VP), Performance Improvement and Integration, will lead strategic initiatives to drive margin improvement, enable impactful business transformations, and support the successful integration of Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) into Jefferson Health's operations. This individual will work closely with clinical, academic, and administrative leaders to ensure initiatives align with organizational objectives, standardize processes, streamline interdependencies, and enhance operational efficiency. The VP will also play a role in fostering new technology partnerships and facilitating investments that drive margin impact and operational effectiveness. Additionally, this role will support executive leadership by providing recommendations, preparing updates for the governing board, and collaborating with Jefferson's ventures team to explore and implement innovative, growth-oriented strategic projects.

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with the executive leadership and other leaders to develop and execute the organization's strategic goals.
  • Develop and lead initiatives to improve operational margins, ensuring alignment with clinical, operational, and financial goals.
  • Assist standardizing processes and frameworks for existing and new margin improvement efforts across the organization, ensuring consistency and alignment.
  • Streamline overlap and interdependencies between various initiatives to optimize resources, eliminate redundancies, and maximize impact.
  • Work collaboratively with Jefferson Health's Integration Management Office (IMO) to support and enhance existing integration initiatives related to LVHN merger.
  • Assist in identifying and addressing operational gaps, risks, and opportunities within integration efforts.
  • Partner with IMO leadership to develop strategies and frameworks that facilitate seamless cultural and operational integration.
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership to align operational and financial initiatives with Jefferson's mission
  • Bridge business transformation initiatives and Jefferson's clinical stakeholders to foster collaboration, drive engagement, and ensure successful execution.
  • Support the development of operational frameworks that integrate clinical care delivery and academic priorities with financial sustainability.
  • Work with Jefferson Health's ventures team to identify, evaluate, and implement potential new initiatives and business opportunities.
  • Lead ideation and strategic planning to refine and develop clinically integrated, tech-enabled solution offerings
  • Drive innovation by fostering collaboration between ventures and core operations.
  • Collaborate with Jefferson's executive team to draft board presentations, providing updates on integration progress, transformation initiatives etc.
  • Provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to inform executive decision-making.
  • Build and lead high-performing cross-functional teams to execute transformation and integration initiatives effectively.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business or Health Administration
  • 10 years healthcare business transformation, operational improvement, and/or integration.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to standardize processes, identify interdependencies, and streamline initiatives for maximum efficiency.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with a focus on fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Ability to build relationships and effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including clinicians, academics, and administrators.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting board presentations and executive-level reports

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical Degree MD, DO, or equivalent

Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
