DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting a range of preventive maintenance and repair tasks on hand tools as well as a fleet of construction vehicles and trucks equipped with both gasoline and diesel engines, featuring manual and automatic transmissions. Your duties will include skilled maintenance and repair of various vehicles, including cars, trucks, tractors, and an assortment of construction equipment such as rollers, sweepers, and mixers, along with powered hand tools. Additionally, you will handle repairs on diesel equipment, excluding diagnostics, parts rebuilding, and the repair of air brake systems and diesel engine fuel injection systems. Your responsibilities will encompass executing a preventive maintenance program for vehicles, equipment, and components. This includes performing oil changes, automotive mechanical diagnostics, tune-ups, tire changes, and repairs or replacements of engine sub-assemblies, as well as addressing cooling system repairs, suspension, electrical systems, heating and air conditioning, fuel systems, brake systems, steering, and driveline systems. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Travel, overtime, and shift work may be required. Work hours subject to change based on seasonal requirements and operational needs.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four years of experience in the automotive mechanic trade; or completion of an approved apprenticeship; or
- Any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires employees to hold a current and valid Pennsylvania Class C driver's license.
- This position requires possession of a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Class 1 Certified Inspection Mechanic.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
