The SVP - MD, Head of MAC (Region) is responsible for overseeing the business development of their assigned region(s). This position supervises Relationship Managers (RM) and in some cases Team Leaders. Managing Directors are responsible for the execution of the sales strategy, including setting individual goals for team members and working with theHead of Rural-US and the Head of US Rural Regional Business to determine compensation and rewards to team. Managing Directors are also responsible for communicating any policy and procedure changes as well as providing feedback to managers on resolving any local issues.

The Managing Director is responsible for carrying out the Relationship Development Framework to develop strong Relationship Managers, which will include travel on a regular basis with individual team members on customer calls to assure proper execution of sales strategies within the bank policies and procedures as well as monitoring of pipeline/call reports, including ensuring the adoption and use of the Salesforce CRM system. The Managing Directors will also lead a weekly team meeting along with the Financial Analyst Manager and Closing Manager with the purpose of communicating the status of deals and re-prioritizing workload, as needed, to meet customer expectations. Sets and monitors the SLAs of the RMs to deliver all necessary documentation in a timely manner, including ensuring the accuracy of such information.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops marketing plans with the team for the region and individual offices.
  • Coordinates marketing plans with Head of Rural-US, Head of US Rural Regional Business and the Marketing partners.
  • Monitors lead-based network and provides support.
  • Accountable for portfolio goals for own region and large clients including unassigned regions and for of all Relationship Managers (RM) supervised.
  • Continual review of RM regions to gain efficiency in marketing, production, collections and training.
  • Monitor RMs pipeline reports weekly; monitor RMs budgets.
  • Oversee management of RMs in assigned regions and serve as their liaison with rest of the organization.
  • Works closely with the Financial Analyst Manager and Closing Manager to ensure customer expectations for closing, reviews, renewals, and changes are met.
  • Maintains close communication with Credit, Appraisal, Legal, and Closing departments.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

To be considered for the Managing Director - Business Development Manager role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred), with at least 15 years of experience working in agriculture lending or similar experience.
  • Experience in loan documentation including the perfection of liens and mortgages on real estate, crops, inventory, machinery and real property throughout the Banks operating range. As shown by passage of our 360 modules or external assigned courses by the Training department in your Individual Development Plan.
  • Takes a leadership role in internal and external activities.
  • Coordinates department's effort, within department or with other groups, to achieve departmental goals.
  • Proven experience managing larger, more complex clients, including those involving syndications.
  • Makes sound business decisions; understands and achieves business goals within desired timeframe.
  • Meets all deadlines for internal, external and regulatory requirements.
  • Reliably organizes work, works effectively and efficiently, prioritizes work and anticipates business needs.
  • Demonstrates a high level of commitment to excellent customer service. Extends extra effort to ensure customers are treated according to pledge.
  • Processes information logically, and is able to use the result to recommend and implement the appropriate business applications to meet the requirements of the job. Handles normal and extraordinary situations well.
  • Handles sensitive, confidential information in an appropriate manner.

Salary Expectations:

Target Hiring Range: $190,000.00 - $230,000.00

This position is subject to the terms of [RAF/Rabobank/RDS]'s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular position includes all other benefits provided to [RAF/Rabobank/RDS] employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
