The Opportunity

Future focused and always one step ahead!

As an integral member of the Statistical Reporting Department in Service Delivery, the Team Lead- Statistical will have the ability to work independently and be responsible for the distribution of work assignments, training members of the team in all processes, address and resolve complicated issues with data, lead and coordinate special projects, and complete special assignments as requested by the Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate assignment of Statistical Reporting tasks including quarterly submissions, Annual Verification, payment of invoices and other statistical related functions.

  • Train Statistical Data Analysts in the quarterly submission process, Annual Verification process and other functions of the Statistical Reporting process.

  • Work with Team Lead for Data Calls to lend support when necessary and cross train Data Analysts on completion and submission of Data Calls.

  • Resolve complicated systems errors which are affecting the reporting process and handle any issues that the Data Analysts cannot resolve on their own.

  • Monitor errors and submit Work Items to IT to fix errors. This includes the writing of Requirement Documents and specifications, testing the fixes and providing final sign-off.

  • Coordinate and monitor to completion special projects as assigned utilizing the Data Analysts when needed to support project efforts.

  • Work independently and complete special assignments as delegated by the Manager

Qualifications

* At least seven years' experience in statutory and regulatory reporting.

* Extensive knowledge of Bureaus- ISO, NISS, NCCI, TCLSP, SFAA and Statistical plans, Annual Verification processes and other statistical reporting functions.

* Excellent understanding of insurance coverage principles, in data management, reporting and analytics.

* Four-year college degree.

* Knowledge of Power BI or other data reporting systems with a willingness to experiment with and learn new technologies.

* Strong quantitative, analytical and PC skills.

* Ability to think strategically and function tactically under tight deadlines.

* Ability to complete work autonomously; highly self-directive

* Superior Excel skills

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Excellent consultative skills which can be deployed at any level of an organization, including creativity, emotional intelligence, adaptability and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent time management and organizational skills.

This position is based in Princeton, NJ-Hybrid.
