As a member of the M&A Change Management & Experience (CMX) team, your primary focus will be the development and delivery of tailored change management programs for select acquisitions. These programs will support acquired businesses through a multitude of integration milestones, accelerating their connection, productivity, and performance at Salesforce. The role is part of a high-performance Corporate Development Integration team, focused on developing and executing rapid and thoughtful integrations that drive successful go-to-market, technology and product, and business operations strategies. Additionally, the role will contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of Salesforce's best-in-class M&A change and integration management capabilities. Success requires a candidate to possess a balanced mix of strategic and critical thinking, execution excellence, and stellar stakeholder management. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support development and delivery of tailored and impactful change management programs for select acquisitions, which may include collaborating with partnering teams to:
    • Conduct discovery of an acquired company's culture and expected people, process, and tech impacts to inform integration and change management approach
    • Assess, onboard, connect, and drive accountability and sponsorship of acquired leaders through tailored leadership programs
    • Deliver tailored and thoughtful communications and onboarding programs to introduce essential processes and tools and accelerate cultural acclimation.
    • Orchestrate enablement strategies to provide acquired and Salesforce teams with the necessary knowledge and know-how on new strategies, processes, and tools necessary to effectively do their jobs.
    • Coordinate cross-functional support and stabilization programs to guide our business stakeholders through key milestones and sustain productivity
    • Establish and manage feedback mechanisms to monitor sentiment, feedback, and change adoption from acquired employees through surveys, adoption metrics, and/or change networks
  • Facilitate cross-functional team coordination to orchestrate the above programs throughout the deal lifecycle including driving proactive alignment, establishing roles and responsibilities, leading workstream meetings, documenting decisions and driving actions, and producing quality deliverables and presentations.
  • Develop an understanding of Salesforce processes and stay updated on any changes. Identify opportunities to enhance collaboration with partnering organizations and boost efficiency for shared success.
  • Contribute to technology innovations that improve operational efficiency, scale, and delivery excellence and showcase our commitment to be Customer Zero for Salesforce products.
  • Find opportunities to improve processes and collaboratively institutionalize changes including building repeatable approaches, tools, and templates.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Change Management: Demonstrated ability to assess the impact of people, process, and technology changes across teams and functions. Develops and executes change management strategies, including stakeholder engagement, targeted communications, and enablement plans to drive adoption and minimize disruption. Listens with empathy and turns insights into action. Models resilience by guiding stakeholders through ambiguity, challenges, and setbacks. Effectively frames and evaluates assumptions and potential changes, even with incomplete or unclear information. Translates feedback and sentiment into actionable insights to support successful implementation.
  • M&A: Understanding of the acquisition lifecycle, integration planning and execution, and strategic considerations. Knowledge of change management implications and needs.
  • Integration/Program Management: Experience in estimation, planning, design, and implementation of complex, cross-functional business efforts at software companies. Skilled in influencing, making high-quality decisions, and taking crucial actions. Ability to work under deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and remain productive in ambiguous or uncertain environments. Analyzes poorly defined areas and processes within a cross-functional organization and implements improvements.
  • Ownership & Influence: Strong initiative, personal ownership, and follow-through. Effective with minimal supervision. High emotional intelligence (EQ), low ego. Builds and maintains trusted working relationships. Strong personal credibility and collaboration skills. Empowers and drives consensus in a team environment.
  • Executive Communication & Writing Skills: Exceptional communicator with expertise in both strategy and execution. Anticipates executive needs and supports the preparation of executive presentations. Understands audience needs to distill sophisticated information into resonant presentations and written messages. Strong meeting leadership and facilitation skills.
  • Business Leadership Skills: Strong, team-oriented leadership. Identifies, frames, and confronts risks and issues, making recommendations for mitigations or resolutions, especially in complex and ambiguous situations. Solid intuition for business and strategic foresight.
  • Adaptability: Operates effectively in a fast-paced and ambiguous M&A environment. Influences others to adapt and excel. Self-starter with a high degree of motivation to exceed expectations. Flexible in work approach to address evolving stakeholder needs.
Required Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in change management, management consulting, M&A integration management, program management, or corporate development
  • Proficiency in change management principles, methodologies, and best practices, and proven track record of managing transformational and multidisciplinary programs
  • Understanding of M&A including acquisition lifecycle, integration planning, and strategic considerations.
  • Broad understanding of go-to-market functions - e.g. Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written communications & presentation skills)
  • SaaS business model and Salesforce organization and/or product knowledge are a plus.

Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance and the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring, Salesforce will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $145,200 to $199,700. For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $145,200 to $199,700. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
