Small Business Card Capabilities Growth and Analytics Lead (Senior Business Manager)

The Small Business Card Experiences & Capabilities team is looking for a Senior Business Manager to lead our Strategic Growth and Product Analytics team. Our team is building capabilities that make our cards more attractive to small business owners, ultimately helping them to grow their businesses. We thrive on deeply understanding customer needs and business opportunities, then working cross functionally to develop a strategy and learning agenda to meet those needs.

Your role will be to help drive the strategic vision and analytical approach for growing our Employee Card and Virtual Card portfolios as well as driving engagement through improved digital experiences. You and your direct reports will partner with Product Managers, Marketing, Engineering, Design and many others to deliver critical capabilities powering our Small Business Card value propositions.

This role will include work on items such as:

  • Deeply understand customer needs and business value drivers to define a strategy for continued growth. Leveraging your deep analytics expertise, you will become fluent in the data around our products, generating data-driven insights to define a business strategy, product vision, and roadmap.

  • Define measures of success for a suite of products through setting and tracking OKRs and KPIs; steward the team to utilize advanced analytics to automate monitoring/reporting.

  • Partner with a cross-discipline team to design and develop experiments to test hypotheses, iterate, and implement changes in existing products that drive improved customer experience and business value.

  • Drive adoption, engagement, and usage through deep partnership with Product and Marketing; create and implement a marketing strategy.

  • Build strategic relationships and influence partner teams to drive key outcomes, collaborating with an extended team beyond the Small Business Card organization.

  • Manage a team of business analysts to deliver on these critical business objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in any quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering)
  • At least 2 years of experience in quantitative analysis
  • At least 2 years of experience in qualitative analysis
  • At least 1 year of experience in people management
  • At least 1 year of experience in project management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in quantitative analysis
  • 5+ years of experience in qualitative analysis
  • 2+ years of experience in people management
  • 2+ years of experience in product development
  • 2+ years of experience in financial modeling
  • 2+ years of experience in economic forecasting
  • 2+ years of experience in project management

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $193,000 - $220,300 for Sr. Business Manager

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
