Short Description

To provide patient care under the supervision of RN in the ambulatory surgery setting.

Assist with patient ADL's and daily care

Communicates and supports with healthcare team and patients' family and/or significant others

Maintains and demonstrates high standards of ethics

Performs technical duties as directed by RN ex: Vital signs, POC testing, EKG, Foley cath care documents appropriately

Attends staff meetings

Assist in admissions, transfers and discharges from Units

Handling of clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks

Maintains work knowledge and regulatory standards

Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills

Performance of excellent customer service skills


Experience Required

Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, capillary, and injection experience

Electronic health record experience

Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills

Outstanding patient experience skills


Education Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent required


License/Certification Requirements

Critical Care Technician or Medical Assistant certification preferred


Special Requirements

7am-3:30 Mon, Wed, Thurs and Friday. 8am-4:30 Tuesday.
