As Managing Director, Solution Sales with RBC Clear, you will help grow a new business within an established top tier financial institution by cultivating new cash management relationships across our Capital Markets clients. You will leverage your deep treasury Sales and Product knowledge to lead the technical advisory and solutioning function for our cash management clients. As lead of the Sales Solutions team, you will be required to design and deliver innovative, scalable and high-value treasury and working capital solutions for multinational corporations, financial institutions, and public sector entities and over time, build a high performing team around you. This is a client-facing executive role requiring a high-impact, visionary leader, deep industry expertise, global perspective, and a proven ability to drive revenue through complex solution design and strategic advisory engagements. You will play a key leadership role in delivering the full value of RBC Clear's award-winning platform to clients across globally. This role will be working directly with the CEO, Sales and Product Heads, and will work across all aspects of Cash Management and our enterprise stakeholders. What will you do?
- Strategic Leadership & Vision:
- Define and lead the technical solutioning strategy for Capital Market clients in alignment with our strategic growth priorities.
- Drive a consultative sales culture, embedding best-in-class solution design into the broader sales lifecycle.
- Serve as a senior voice in shaping product positioning, go-to-market models, and commercialization of RBC Clear's capabilities.
- Client Engagement & Influence:
- Serve as the senior technical lead in strategic cash and liquidity management engagements with the firm's clients.
- Support strategic client pursuits, representing the solutioning function in key deals and executive-level engagements.
- Partner with Sales and Product teams to unlock opportunities with top-tier clients across industries.
- Drive dialogue with CFOs, Treasurers, and senior finance executives to identify treasury transformation priorities and architect future-state solutions.
- Solution Structuring & Deal Execution:
- Lead technical structuring of bespoke future state solutions across receivables, payables, liquidity and real-time treasury platforms.
- Collaborate with Product teams to deliver commercially viable, scalable, and regulatory-compliant solutions.
- Oversee RFP process (including library and submissions), solution workshops, design sessions, and onboarding for complex, multi-product opportunities.
- Product Innovation & Market Impact:
- Provide actionable feedback to Product and Innovation teams based on client needs, competitive intelligence, and market shifts.
- Champion the adoption and integration of RBC Clear's industry-leading and award-winning solutions.
- Represent the firm at industry events, roundtables, and forums as a senior voice on treasury transformation and working capital innovation.
- Leadership & Internal Partnership:
- Partner across Product, Implementation, Risk, Compliance, and Technology to ensure seamless client delivery and future-ready infrastructure.
- Drive alignment across internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of complex treasury solutions and seamless client onboarding.
- Contribute to internal capability-building through training, frameworks, and strategic initiatives aligned to RBC Clear's growth priorities.
What do you need to succeed?
- 15+ years of experience in corporate treasury, global transaction banking, payments, or enterprise financial technology
- Extensive leadership experience managing large solution or technical sales teams in a matrixed, global banking organization
- Proven success developing and executing consultative selling strategies in a B2B enterprise environment
- Executive presence and ability to engage confidently with C-level clients and internal stakeholders
- Deep understanding of North American cash management, treasury systems, client integration needs, and regulatory requirements
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering growth and driving complex deal execution, including leading and closing large-scale treasury mandates within top-tier clients
- Collaborative and strategic thinker with a passion for innovation, transformation, and talent development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- CTP or other treasury, payments, or banking certifications strongly preferred

- The good-faith expected salary for the above position is $350.000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
