Requisition ID# 164822 Job Category: Power Generation; Project / Program Management Job Level: Manager/Principal Business Unit: Operations - Other Work Type: Hybrid Job Location: Auburn Department Overview Power Generation operates and maintains PG&E's hydroelectric, fossil, solar generation and battery storage facilities, providing approximately 5,300 megawatts of generating capacity for our customers. Our nearly 1000 coworkers are dedicated to delivering safe, reliable, and cost-effective generation to California in an environmentally responsible manner. Our hydro facilities include 62 conventional hydro powerhouses, a pumped-storage facility, 98 reservoirs, 168 dams and more than 200 miles of canals and flumes, among other water conveyances. Natural gas-fired plants in operation are Humboldt Bay Generating Station in Eureka; Colusa Generating Station in Colusa County and Gateway Generating Station in Antioch. Several utility-scale solar generation plants also are operated and maintained, as well as PG&E's successful entry into battery energy storage, our Elkhorn Battery facility at Moss Landing in Monterey County. The Power Generation Continuous Improvement (CI) Office is dedicated to driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within Power Generation. By leveraging data-driven methodologies and best practices, as well as our Performance Playbook, our team focuses on identifying and implementing innovative solutions to enhance coworker safety, efficiency, and improve overall performance. In alignment with PG&E's Safety Excellence Management System, we place a strong emphasis on the organization's strategy for leadership engagement, communications, operational control, technical training, assurance, and management of change. The CI Office collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful projects and programs that align with our strategic goals and contribute to the long-term success of the organization. Additionally, the CI Office is responsible for the overall People and Culture strategy, including promoting joy at work for our coworkers. Position Summary The Principal Program Manager will play a pivotal role in partnering with cross-functional teams to develop and implement Power Generation's overall People and Culture strategy, including leading Power Generation's People Steering Committee. This individual will focus on planning and executing an annual communication, meeting, and event schedule to ensure alignment and engagement across the organization. The Principal Program Manager will be responsible for drafting and distributing communications to Power Generation coworkers and beyond, ensuring clear and consistent messaging. Additionally, this role will support management of organizational change and management of change, advising on change management best practices to facilitate smooth transitions. The Principal Program Manager will help drive initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience and contribute to the long-term success of the organization. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory and will be agreed upon by the successful candidate and hiring leader. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and assigned location based on business needs. PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. A reasonable salary range is: Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area) $ 144,000.00 Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area) $ 244,000.00 OR Minimum Base Salary (California) $ 137,000.00 Maximum Base Salary (California) $ 232,000.00 Job Responsibilities
