JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking to hire part-time help.

Primary Duties include:

  • Provide information on GI Bill benefits and Penn State procedures to visitors and veterans both in person and on the phone.
  • Perform various basic office duties including but not limited to: answer phones, greet visitors, make copies, shred, scan, log documents, retrieve and update student folders/records, file documents, help to maintain VA report binders, and run errands on campus when needed.
  • Help to keep office spaces tidy (front-desk area, lobby, study lounge, certification office, conference room and coffee area)
  • Replace trash bags, run vacuum, and dispose of recyclables and compostable materials as needed.
  • Help to maintain staff kitchen area (sink, counter, paper towels, microwave and fridge,)
  • Assist the Office of Veterans Programs professional staff when requested.
  • Adhere to Penn State Procedures and Policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters. The ASR is available for review here.
