Overview

Johns Hopkins Health Plans (JHHP) is seeking a dynamic and strategic Marketing Manager to drive growth and retention through marketing initiatives, enhance brand awareness, and member engagement. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of military healthcare systems, government healthcare policies, and marketing best practices. This role requires creativity, analytical thinking, and the ability to develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns tailored to service members, veterans, and their families.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Execution




  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans to increase awareness and enrollment in the US Family Health Plans (USFHP).
  • Lead branding, positioning, and messaging efforts to ensure alignment with the mission and values.
  • Manage digital, print, and event marketing campaigns targeted at military personnel, retirees, and their families.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer insights to refine strategy.



Communication & Outreach




  • Oversee content creation for marketing materials, direct mail, website, digital, out of home, newsletters, and member communications.
  • Coordinate with military installations, veteran organizations, and healthcare providers to promote USFHP.
  • Develop member engagement initiatives, including webinars, informational sessions, and community outreach programs.



Partnerships & Stakeholder Collaboration




  • Work closely with internal teams, including sales, customer service, and compliance, to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
  • Collaborate with government agencies, military bases, and healthcare providers to enhance awareness and trust



Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring




  • Track and report key marketing metrics, including campaign effectiveness, member engagement, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Utilize analytics tools to measure success and optimize marketing strategies.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and military health regulations in all marketing activities.



NOTE: This role is focused on the USFHP line of business at JHHP and supports the Employer Health Programs.

Qualifications & Requirements:




  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, preferably within the healthcare or government sector.
  • Strong understanding of military healthcare systems, TRICARE, and veteran healthcare programs or related work experience.
  • Proven experience in direct mail, digital, event marketing and brand development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with reporting, marketing analytics and CRM tools.

Salary Range: Minimum 41.26/hour - Maximum 72.23/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
