CNC Programmer act ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Create CNC programs for lathes and horizontal/vertical machining centers. * Work with machine operators to prove out programs and answer questions. * Assist Manufacturing Engineers in the development and implementation of manufacturing methods, fixtures, and gauging. * Investigate and update manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality. * Create required documentation for new parts, including tool records, process drawings, inspection records, etc. Update existing documentation when changes occur. * Provide cost estimates for manufacturing processes. * Comply with the requirements of the quality system. * Engage in special manufacturing projects as directed by management. QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma and 3 years of relevant work experience. A technical degree in CNC programming (2-year program) and/or 3 years of relevant work experience is preferred. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAM software. Experience with SolidWorks and/or Esprit CAM software a plus. * Able to read, analyze and interpret technical designs, drawings, blueprints, and test results. * Intermediate to advanced math skills. * Good communication skills, both written and verbal. * Strong analytical thinker. Must be able to define problems, collect and research data, establish facts, use intuition and experience to complement data, and draw valid conclusions. * Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
