Machining Assistant

Velosity CMD is hiring a Machining Assistant to support production at our manufacturing facility in Forest Lake, MN.

The typical pay range for this role: $17.67 - $26.51/hour. This role is also eligible for our 5% quarterly bonus target.

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, internal equity and other relevant factors.

This position includes a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with machined part production including sorting, assembly and other secondary operations.
• Ability to load/unload/deburring machined parts
• Perform parts inspection as needed per part or job.
• Maintains and performs basic operation and of machines to produce parts
• Accurately complete any necessary documentation of production and enters information into tracking system
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education/Certification:

• High School Diploma/GED-General Studies
• Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
• Preferred 1-2 years' experience within a tooling shop or machining environment.
• Ability to perform daily tasks in a safely manner.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Physical & Mental Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit (using a computer), reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is also regularly required to stand and walk. The employee might occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

This is a non-smoking, professional tool shop with normal lighting, and climate control. This position may require the employee to conduct business on the manufacturing floor where they may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors.

Protective Clothing Required: When in certain locations of the facility, eye and ear protection are required. Closed-toed shoes are also required in certain locations.
