Climate First Bank is a Florida Benefit Corporation, state chartered, FDIC insured commercial bank. With now three physical branches in St Petersburg, Winter Park and Mount Dora and one digital branch, we are offering a full suite of banking products including personal and business banking and loan products (solar, residential, commercial, SBA and more). Come join our team as a Graphic Design and Social Media Summer Intern . This remote internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in graphic design, copywriting, and social media management with the primary objective to enhance Climate First Bank's digital presence and improve customer engagement- all while contributing to our mission of promoting environmental sustainability.

This position is outlined as an 8-week internship with a 10-15-hour weekly commitment. The final schedule will be provided on or before the internship start date. Please send a resume to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Graphic Design- Create visually appealing graphics and marketing materials using Adobe InDesign and Canva. Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and execute creative campaigns that align with our brand values.
  • Social Media Management- Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance our online presence and engage with our community. Design and schedule social media posts across various platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and LinkedIn. Monitor social media channels for engagement and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner. Analyze social media performance metrics and provide insights for improvement.
  • Administrative Support- Support the marketing team with other design and administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Advanced experience with Adobe InDesign and Canva.
  • Experience with creating both digital and printable layouts.
  • Strong copywriting skills.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices.
  • Excellent graphic design skills with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
  • Ability to understand and replicate branded design style.
  • Resourceful, creative and an organized self-starter.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Passion for environmental sustainability and community development.
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office 365 to include Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point, One Note, technically savvy.
  • Aligned field of study.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Previous experience in student journalism pertaining to graphic design.
  • Previous experience in social media management or marketing.
  • Previous experience in copywriting including blog writing, copy for marketing assets, and copy for social media posts.
  • Knowledge of environmental issues and sustainability practices.

Physical Demands:

  • Sustained standing and sitting;
  • Frequent use of PC, including typing or sustained attention to monitor;
  • Occasional lifting of basic office files or equipment up to 20 lbs.
